The remaining connections are mentioned in circuit diagram. d4 = Pin 5, d5 = Pin 4, d6 = pin 3, d7 = PIN 2.LCD RS and E pins are connected to 7 and 6 pins of Arduino. We used 16×2 LCDs to see the details of the car speed. Both IR sensors are provided with the necessary power supply connection. Another pin of the sensor is usually connected to +5V volt and GND. The first IR sensor has a digital out of Arduino digital PIN (PIN 9) and the second IR sensor is connected to Arduino’s PIN 8. So, let us start with arduino from this measurement circuit. And then they measure the speed and distance covered by any moving object, display on a digital monitor or on a 16×2 LCD screen. When any vehicle crosses the two-car sensors, both IR sensors are connected to the interrupted pin of Arduino and identify the fall wave and the time between activating the Arduino’s internal timer sensor. In this project, two IR sensors, ir transmitter (IR LED), one IR receiver (photo diode) are placed on the Arduino board.
